your session

we’ll work together to capture your family’s story through the lens of my camera, capturing precious moments for you to remember forever. However, I understand how uneasy it can feel to welcome a photographer into your lives, so here are a few things to expect, prepare for and find comfort in knowing before your shoot day arrives.

How to book

Just go to my contact page and send through your details. I will get back to you via email and we decide on the best date and time for the shoot. I then need a $200 deposit to confirm you booking, with the remainder due the week before your session. We can also come up with a payment plan best suited to you.

Pre session

I will email you through a session guide, questionare, contract and invoice. We can chat about any questions you might have about the shoot. My sessions are super relaxed and low pressure. We work with the pace of your children and however the session flows on the day.

Your home

Your home doesn’t need to be as spotless. It’s helpful to keep your space uncluttered but lived in. Please, keep this off your to-stress-about list.

I will be looking for the best spots for light on the day when i do a tour of your home. The main areas we’ll be photographing are living areas, bedrooms and sometimes your backyard. Wherever you feel most yourselves, most at home; that’s where we’ll shoot.

Your wardrobe

Choose your outfit like we’ve chosen your location. Think of the items that ooze comfort. That bring out your confidence. That make you feel special and warm and at home.

I also send out a pre session guide to help with your style for the day.

Newborn sessions

Newborn sessions are precious, with those beautiful, sleepy photos perfectly shot when they’re around 6-12 days old. A few different outfits and special items like teddy bears or hospital bands are always welcome, and of course, skin to skin shots are forever beautiful.

If you can, try to book your session at a time where your little one is most settled and remember, there is absolutely no rush in these sessions. Newborns require your attention, so feel free to feed and take as many breaks as you need.
